The Ultra Reef TYPHOON is fitted with a new Ultra Reef PSK+ Plus needle wheel pump designed especially by Sicce, which injects large volumes of air into the water. This produces a concentrated layer of foam and allows surfactants to be filtered out of the tank. This minimises degradation, enhances oxygenation and leaves tank water exceptionally clean and clear.

The TYPHOON skimmer features an energy-saving, electronically regulated pump, which can be used to vary the operating speed and initiate the pause function.

The adjusting screws can be used to alter the skimmer's settings and volume of induced air. As well as the excellent separation of air and water, this allows for an optimum nutrient content and water quality in any tank. The TYPHOON even creates a high level of stability in new aquariums (which contain few foaming agents). The skimmers are ideal for dry and wet skimming.

The skimmer has an integrated silencer that minimises the noise caused by the water during pumping. The compact exhaust system is submerged in the base of the skimmerfor silent operation as the clean water is discharged back into the tank. Rubber feet on the bottom absorb vibrations.

The PVC components can all be disassembled (and replaced as required), while the needle wheel pump can be accessed by removing the titanium locking screws on the conical chamber. The skimmer also has an innovative Easy Flip seal, which allow the easy removal of componenets to clean the unit.
