GIESEMANN T-5 / tropic is a full spectrum 6500 K HO T5 lamp with enhanced photosynthetic peaks which recreates a natural sunlight effect.
Recommended for Freshwater and Marine aquaria

Aquatic plants as well as corals in the upper reef zones have adapted to the entire light spectrum of sunlight. In natural environments aquatic plants are almost exclusively to find in well-lit and clear waters in just little depth (up to 2-3 m). As well many coral species that are kept in aquariums are from shallower depths, where the entire light spectrum of sunlight is still available. All visible light components are nearlly equally passing through the water until a depth of about 6m. Therefore it is important to both, plants and corals, provide a light source available, which comes as close as possible to sunlight.

GIESEMANN T-5 / tropic is one of the few existing lamps, built as a full spectrum lamp. The light spectrum indicates that there are all spectral components of its entire range from blue to red. Based on this, the GIESEMANN T-5 / tropic lamps do not only reflect the colors with their natural properties, but also have a negative impact on the growth of algae. GIESEMANN T-5 / Super Flora is a high-performance T5 tube developed for optimum plant growth and to accentuate the blue & red colors of your fish.
Recommended for tropic / planted Aquaria

GIESEMANN for years has made many attempts to identify a light spectrum, which promotes the growth of aquatic plants as much as possible, and inhibits the growth of algae. Here we detected, that both emergent and submerged (growth outside/inside of the water) plants prefer a spectrum with a low to moderate amount of blue, medium amount of yellow/green, and a significantly increased amount of red. This has been now confirmed by various researchers.

As a result of this research, we present the GIESEMANN T-5 / super flora, whose spectrum is exactly following this knowledge. These fluorescent lamps enables plant growth even of more demanding plant species, such as Tiger Lotus, and also reinforce the red and blue colours of your fish in the freshwater aquarium. We recommend the GIESEMANN T-5 / tropic to be used in conjunction with the GIESEMANN T-5 / super flora for Freshwater and planted aquariums.

GIESEMANN T-5 / actinic-blue

GIESEMANN actinic blue emits almost exclusively blue light of wavelengths from 400 - 510 nm, with a maximum at 420 nm. These wavelengths enhance the growth of many coral species in the aquarium, thus ensuring optimum lighting conditions.

Since most aquarium inhabitants live in seawater depths where the light is very blue, it is needed to simulate this natural living conditions in the aquarium. The GIESEMANN T-5 / actinic-blue has therefore been developed to enhance the blue proportion in marine aquariums. GIESEMANN T-5 / actinic-blue emits almost exclusively blue light of wavelengths from 400 - 510 nm, with a maximum at 420 nm. These wavelengths enhance the growth of many coral species in the aquarium, thus ensuring optimum lighting conditions.

GIESEMANN T-5 /actinic-blue reinforces the natural fluorescence of corals and brings them excellent to bear - especially in the twilight phase when being used alone. The optimal use of the GIESEMANN actinic blue is the combined with either the GIESEMANN T-5 / super-actinic or super-purple or combined with our MEGACHROME HQI bulbs. GIESEMANN T-5 / aquablue- coral is the ultimate blue/white light spectrum ( special 30:70 combination of 6000K and 22000K) Enhancing brilliant colors from your corals and fish.

Light dependent corals in the sea are inhabited by so-called zooxanthellae, single-celled algae, which provide the host through photosynthesis with nutrients. Depending on the natural location of the coral (and depending on their depth), there is a more or less blue coloured light, to which the zooxanthellae have adapted. Apart from the increased amount of blue in the light spectrum there is as well a sufficient light intensity required.

GIESEMANN T-5 / aquablue- coral has a very nice blue/white light spectrum for brilliant colours from your corals and fish. It is ideal in combination with the GIESEMANN T-5 / actinic-blue, super-purple or super-actinic to produce exceptionally beautiful color effects and the ideal light for all marine creatures that live in salt-water and reef aquariums. A special 30:70 combination of 6000K and 22000K (approx) phosphor blend. It is specifically designed for reef aquariums mimicking sea water to a depth of one to twenty meters. It can be used for growing SPS corals up to 70cm in the aquarium.

The GIESEMANN T-5 / super-actinic emits a very strong, pure actinic spectrum, which generates a light white/violet effect in your aquarium that maximizes the fluorescence from your colorful corals. Ideal for supplementation of existing metal halide lighting.

Some corals reach its beauty and expression only by special fluorescent colors. Like many mussel species these animals will be found in the sea at water depths where specific UV-components are available. Therefore we have developed a fluorescent lamp that will bring these colors into the home aquarium.

The GIESEMANN T-5 / super-actinic is a high-performance T5 tube, emitting a very strong, pure actinic spectrum, which generates a light white/violet effect in your aquarium.
